A few days back, when checking my wapka mobile community site, I found that most of the users in the site are only using the main chatroom. All other chatrooms in the site are mostly vacant. So I started making up some features which will allow users to alert or notify their friends to come to chat in a specific chatroom of the site.
Finally I end up creating a new feature, “Invite to Chat” option in the site which will let users to invite online users to chat in any chatroom they wish to chat in. To make this feature I have used the popup codes of wapka.
So here is the code:
Invite to Chat WAPKA CODE
<b>Invite to Chat:</b><br/> <form method="post" action="popup_3.xhtml"> <input type="hidden" name="t" value="new" /> ChatRoom: <select name="popup_txt"> <option value="[b][user]:user-tname:[/user][/b] invited you to chat in [b]Chit Chat (ChatRoom 1)[/b][br/]">Chit Chat (ChatRoom 1)</option> <option value="[b][user]:user-tname:[/user][/b] invited you to chat in [b]Girls Chat (ChatRoom 2).[/b][br/]">Girls Chat (ChatRoom 2)</option> <option value="[b][user]:user-tname:[/user][/b] invited you to chat in [b]World Chat (ChatRoom 3).[/b][br/]">World Chat (ChatRoom 3)</option> </select><br/> User: <select name="usr_name"> :userstats: d=ol,o=dl,df=g:i:s:: <option value="%tname%">%tname%</option>:: :/userstats: </select><br/> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="Invite" /> :admin-hash-input: </form>
Place the above code near your chat pages or in your Main Dashborad page for your users. You can also edit the above codes line number 6,7,8 with your own values, it will be the message sent out the users who are been invited.
Now the user who has been invited will be given a notification by a POP-Up message. So inorder to display this notification you will also need to add below code in the main pages.
POP-UP Notification WAPKA CODE
:info-popup:<a href=":url-usr-popup:"><b>%n% new POP-UP's</b></a>:/info:
Thats it and you have a nice new feature for your mobile chat site in wapka.
