How to create a free mobile website in wapka (Part 2)

This is the follow up post of the tutorial on How to create a mobile website using wapka.mobi mobile site creator. You can read the part 1 of the tutorial from here.

Part 2: Dashboard & basics in creating mobile websites in wapka.

After the registration, you will see the main dashboard of wapka. It contains the following links:

• Usermode
• Admin mode
• Stats
• Settings
• Support
• Tools
• Unlogin

 

Here is a short explanation of each of these links.

1) User mode: Since wapka can be used to create community mobile websites also, this link is provided so that you can enter the site as a user to check how your site looks for your users. (You can also simply check it by directly accessing your site.)

2) Admin mode: This is main mode and the link which you will use to edit your account. All the admin options will be viewable when you enter in admin mode.

3) Stats: This gives your sites statistics like how may daily visitors you have, total visitors etc.

4) Settings: It provides you some important account settings, also contains options to add your domain, etc

5) Support: This also a really useful link. It shows you the private messages and wapka support forum. The private messages allow you to message other wapka users and interact with them. You can also check the wapka forum from here which provides you lots of info about wapka and other wapmaster news.

6) Tools: There some really useful tools provided by wapka like the source code viewer. Also wapka allows you to send your free space from account to another wapka account. All these tools can be found here.

7) Unlogin: Used to logout from wapka.

Now to start building your site, we begin with clicking the “Admin mode“. This will take us to the homepage of our site. It will be a blank page with a link “EDIT SITE” at the bottom right side. You could also see ” Site ID: 0 ” written there, this shows the current page ID. Your homepage ID will be always 0. When you create a new page your page ID will change (or it increases).

Thats it.. you are now ready to edit your site. I will post the rest of the session in the next post.
